PT Pupuk Sriwidjaja established on December 24, 1959, is the first urea fertilizer producer in Indonesia. Sriwidjaja is taken as the name of the company to immortalize the history of the triumph of the Sriwijaya kingdom in Palembang, South Sumatra which was highly respected in mainland China to Southeast Asia, in the Seventh Century AD.
